What is the future of this level? I know one thing—it greatly lacketh detail. –SonicMaster 19:12, 18 January 2008 (PST)
EDIT: Also should have Blue Springs in the water, not yellow ones.
It did, at one point. They were removed to keep the level "classic". It's basically only in the rotation because of its age. -Spazzo without logging in
Is that a good reason to leave it in there? Note that the design, IMO, should be significantly improved for it to be legitimately fun enough for v1.1. Again, they should put the Blue Springs back. –SonicMaster 01:29, 19 January 2008 (PST)
It's kept in because it was the first multiplayer level for SRB2, and it's still pretty good because of the Rail Rings. Also, I think it should stay as a yellow spring, because that propels you high enough to reach the tower with the red spring to propel you to the platform. ~Kaysakado • Talk • 15:34, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
The stage actually originally had yellow springs, before the water physics was fixed to make it more accurate to the original Sonic games (adding the quirk when launched out of the water). For a while, they stayed yellow, and then when blue springs were added, I changed them to try to make it more accurate to the original stage's design. Turns out, it played better with the springs yellow, so I reverted the change later.
The reason the stage is kept around is as guessed, it's an ancient stage. It's also not particularly bad for a historical stage, and is still rather fun. -Mystic 08:21, 19 January 2008 (PST)
