Talk:Linedef types
Maybe this will help?
Alright, I know I'm jumping the gun a bit here, but this idea just occurred to me, and I don't want to lose this thought process. =P Anyways, my thought was along the lines of what to do with the Linedef pages. I think that it may be best to treat each different section of linedefs as its own individual group, rather than trying to make them all consistent with each other. For example, Lighting linedefs are inherently different from Pusher linedefs, so why give them the same format in their pages? I don't have any particular ideas for each group of linedefs, but hey, like I said, I don't want to lose this thought process, and it may be a good idea to discuss this out anyways. ~DarkWarrior Talk • Contribs 21:26, 6 November 2007 (PST)
Because I haven't given any actually serious thought about the linedef pages? :) The lighting linedef pages are just prototypes. I never intended them to be final. I'll think about it though. I'm not sure to what extent, but it's on my issue roll. --Digiku talk 10:54, 7 November 2007 (PST)
Linedef Type 65: Bridge Thinker
Bridge Thinker. I'm curious to know what this Linedef Type does. I know this is related to FOFs and is used in CEZ1 and CEZ2.--Ezer'Arch 14:53, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Woe! Seems people doesn't know what Bridge Thinker is. Yupppp... \o/--Ezer'Arch 17:04, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
"New" linedef types 900-909 in DB.CFG

903 = "Translucent Wall: 60% Opaque"
904 = "Translucent Wall: 50% Opaque"
905 = "Translucent Wall: 40% Opaque"
906 = "Translucent Wall: 30% Opaque"
907 = "Translucent Wall: 20% Opaque"

Ah, good catch, thank you. I already added them to the list, and I'll make a template for them as well. Now we just need pages for them. --SpiritCrusherTalk • Contribs 09:58, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'd be happy to write the pages. If somebody could PM me with an explanation of what these linedefs actually do, I'll get right on it. Fawfulfan Fawful Laughing.gif Want to talk? 14:26, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
Problem is, they're undocumented, so nobody really knows. Try them out in DB, I think they're pretty self-explanatory. --SpiritCrusherTalk • Contribs 15:21, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
You mean you can't put the effect on a wall and set some main textures? --RedEchidna 19:14, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
There!

Moving Linedef Type 160
Wouldn't it be better to have Linedef type 160 on the "Moving" subcategory and make "Crumbling and Floating" only "Crumbling"? Just a thought. --Ricardo [Contribs] [Talk] 12:41, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
I think the categories need some refinement here and there anyway. They were made this way for SRB2DB for the purpose of making the categories short enough to view all items at once. We don't have to follow that restriction. I'll come up with something. --SpiritCrusherTalk • Contribs 13:27, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
