Zones
The zones are the groups of maps that make up the game. Some are their own zone and have no acts, like Frozen Hillside Zone and Haunted Heights Zone.
The zones
There are eight zones in the game:
- Greenflower Zone (abbreviated as GFZ)
- Techno Hill Zone (abbreviated as THZ)
- Deep Sea Zone (abbreviated as DSZ)
- Castle Eggman Zone (abbreviated as CEZ)
- Arid Canyon Zone (abbreviated as ACZ)
- Red Volcano Zone (abbreviated as RVZ)
- Egg Rock Zone (abbreviated as ERZ)
- Black Core Zone (abbreviated as BCZ)

Descriptions
Greenflower Zone
It is the first and easiest zone of the game. Theme includes flowers and grass.
Techno Hill Zone
It is fairly easy, with purple goop instead of water and robotic flowers and grey grass.
Deep Sea Zone
It is mostly underwater, with Gargoyles as decor and no grass whatsoever.
Castle Eggman Zone
It is Eggman themed, with flags and Egg Guards. It's also suspended in the air.
Arid Canyon Zone
It is suspended in the air like Castle Eggman Zone is, but it's barren and has decor cracks on floors and barrels with oil.
Red Volcano Zone
Like the previous two zones, it is suspended in the air and themes tiled floors and lava and outdoor areas with grass. At the end of Act 1 (which is the only one at the time of writing), there is a rocket that supposedly brings the player to the Egg Rock Zone area in outer space.
Egg Rock Zone
In a module Eggman made in outer space, it has lasers, gravity flipping, 2D mode, and outer space with drowning.
Black Core Zone
Being the final zone of the game, it features three zones, two of which feature some sort of battle with Metal Sonic. The third one, the last act of the game, is a bossfight against Brak Eggman.
